Youth Impacted
This organisation in Fréjus, operated by Groupe Umane, is made of two houses, one for girls and one for boys, providing a full-time home to 8 children between 4 and 13 years old. Additionally, there is a nearby home with 13 teenagers, who participated in the plantation and occasionally benefit from the forest. The children hope to observe plenty of biodiversity and would love to see native wolves and bears in their forest!

Average of Tallest 3 Trees
In 2024, Umane Forest sustained damage due to an unexpected incursion of horses grazing leisurely on the forest. 40% was lost (1,200 saplings).
To compensate for this loss, we have collaborated with our funding partner to donate an additional 1,200 trees and establish 400 square meters of new forest through two school planting initiatives in Ireland. This ensures that there will be no net loss of trees as a result of the damage at Umane Forest.

“An impactful project for the children involved. This will be their forest and responsibility, nurturing their inner connections and mindfulness that Nature brings us.”
