This project in Auchterarder allows us to bring a different aspect of play and Nature into the local community.
The area was once a manicured hard expanse that was to a large extent ignored. Through design, soil preparation and planting we have been able to create an interactive forest area where open areas and paths mingle with the maturing new forest.
Our hope is for parents to sit while children run and the forest watches over them, growing to the sounds of play and laughter.

The forest has grown impressively in just over a year and a half - from small saplings planted by school children into trees now standing at five meters tall. We thoroughly enjoyed our last visit to the forest this autumn - it is a phenomenal time to visit Scottish forests, when they display their myriad of autumn colours. The strikingly bright pink spindle berries were some of our favourite finds in the forest.
