Edge communities are evolving.
Gangeti shrub flowering
Edible mushrooms coming out of the ground. Note that it’s not mulch from which it is coming, it is coming out of pure rocky soil, signalling mycelium network in soil.
Shrub communities (desert cotton) that were grown by spreading seeds
Though most of the greenery is ephemeral communities, it will produce quick mulch and organic matter supporting our forest once they die back after monsoons.
Tree and shrub guilds of tooth brush trees and Indrokh ( IUCN RED LIST) thriving.
That’s how the guild is evolving on the edge of a step well pond.
