Team TAYYŪN
Deema Assaf is a Jordanian architect, researcher and urban forester. She is Founding Partner at TAYYŪN, an Amman-based research studio exploring intersections of urbanism and deep ecology. With over fifteen years of experience, Deema has been involved in a variety of projects, including World Heritage sites and national nature reserves. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Jordan, and is trained in permaculture design and forest creation using the Miyawaki Methodology.
Yaman Amr is an architect, permaculture and regenerative design expert, permaculture teacher, and Managing Partner at TAYYŪN. His experience spans ecological design, rainwater harvesting/management, soil regeneration, and regenerative food systems creation, using cutting-edge permaculture principles and techniques.
